Five Mile Equestrian Events

Rancho De Los Amigos is home to Five Mile Equestrian Lessons and Events. Five Mile Events include clinics, schooling shows, horse trials and combined training competitions. Organized by Kathy Gilliland, of Dream Team Eventers and one of Rancho De Los Amigos resident trainers, Five Mile riding events are perfect for schooling young horses or developing riders. 


We regularly host dressage and jumping clinics in addition to our events. Events run throughout the year and are open to the public. We welcome haul-ins and encourage trainers to bring their students for a fun, exciting day of schooling.Regular Clinics

Jump A’Round

Our Jump A’Round Days are just plain FUN! Organized by Kathy Gilliland, the courses are full of interesting challenges for riders of all levels. These are a perfect way to start the season. Inexperienced riders and horses, or those seeking to step up to the next level have a great opportunity to simulate the excitement of a show without the expense or stress.

Casual and fun, spectators and participants cheer each other on and learn from watching.

• Horse Trials

• Five Mile Equestrian with Dream Team Eventers offers Horse Trials and Combined Tests

throughout the year.

• Combined Tests are a great way to school dressage and stadium jumping in beautifully groomed arenas over bright, colorful jumps. 

We offer Elemental through Preliminary divisions.

Horse Trials allow riders to school all phases of three-day eventing. Our cross-country course has good footing and a wide variety of challenges including a water feature, banks, ditches and more.

The dressage phase is held in a regulation size dressage court. The stadium jumping phase is held over bright jumps and the courses are a perfect challenge for every level.
